Recipe for Yorkshires
Misc.4oz flour
1/4 teasp. salt
1 egg
1/2 pint milk
shortening/oil
Sift flour and salt in bowl, make a well in the center, add egg. Stir in half the milk. Beat vigorously until mixture smooth and bubbly. Stir in rest of milk.
Put small bits of shortening/oil in bottom of muffin tins. Place in preheated oven 220 deg C/425 F until fat is smoking hot. Half fill tins with batter and bake for 20-25 mins. The puddings will rise high above the top of the tins and will be hollow shells. Do not underbake or they will collapse! Good Luck!
PS I forget how many these make. Maybe about 10.
