Scrod...can it be true??

Misc.
I apologize if this makes you squirm. This past weekend my sister cooked a piece of fresh scrod bought at a local market. When she went to eat it, she found worms in it...they were 1-2 inches. She brought it back to the store and was told that this is common. In fact, in the processing plants, there are people who inspect the scrod for worms and pull them off before being sent to market. IS THERE ANY TRUTH TO THIS???
I don't think I can ever eat fish again!!
