My grandma taught me this trick...she swore by it and so do I.

Wet the area of the stain...apply a dab of shampoo and work fabric together. Rinse. If using hairspray don't wet first, just spray on and work fabic together. This works on everything from blood to grass. Might not work so well if the stain is already set (previously washed then dried).
