Simple Dirty Rice

I love an authentic cajun dish which includes "dirty rice". The only recipes that I have seen call for such items as diced/minced chicken livers/gizzards. Is there a recipe that may be close but doesn't call for these ingredients? Thank you..I'm sure enjoying this board and appreciate all your help friends!
