Tips: Cannoli Description

Hi Kathy - A cannoli is a wonderful, sinfully rich Italian dessert which uses a hard brittle rolled outer tube shaped shell, which is similar in texture and consistancy to a waffle cone - then it's stuffed JUST before serving (since if you stuff it too early, the shell becomes soggy and yukky) with a sweet, ricotta/sugar filling. Sometimes the filling is plain, sometimes it can have miniature choc. bits, sometimes pistachio nuts. Hope this helps! Don't have a recipe since you can buy the shells in most bakeries around here, and then fill them yourself as needed.
