Tips: Soft diet ideas
Misc. Many years ago, I had 8 teeth removed at once and was definitely on a soft diet for a while. While I was in the hospital, they took the normal menu and then ran it through a food grinder. All of the meats were done with gravy of some sort so that they remained juicy. This was marvelous and I had someone get me a food grinder before I whent home.
If you begin with ground meat, no matter what you do with it, it will still be hamburger, but if you begin with cooked roast, then grind, it will taste like roast and gravy. Use the coarse grind plate so that you have some substance to chew a little, but still small enough to slither down a healing throat.
Good luck to your daughter and to you.
