I think that maybe Med/TN mentioned the oxyclean. It's great stuff!! It works great on stained coffee mugs and stained plastic like Rubbermaid and Tupperware as well. Just kind of soak stuff a bit and rinse, then wash with soap and water. Items will look as good as new.
