Recipe(tried): Getting blood out of clothing

Okay this isn't a recipe but I tried it today after banging my elbow on a door as I was carrying a box of books through it at school. I went to the school nurse - it really was just a minor cut but it bled enough that some how I had blood on my light colored khaki pants and I didn't want to get "whatever" in the small cut/wound. Anyway, I said to the nurse that I was more worried about getting the blood out of my pants than this tiny injury. She told me not to worry - no problem - just put hydrogen peroxide on it when you get home - that it wouldn't bleach the fabric and it would break down the stain right before my eyes. This happened at 9:30 in the morning and I couldn't do anything about it until about 1:30 this afternoon, so all of the blood had dried. It worked unbelieveably well! So forget the cold water thing and try hydrogen peroxide the next time you get blood on your clothing.
