Recipe(tried): Lasagna

This has been a family classic, my mom used to make it now I do for my own
family:

Lasagna

Sauce:
1 small onion
3/4 pound ground chuck
3/4 pound italian sausage
1 Tblsp each dried oregano, basil, parsley
2 1/2 teas garlic powder (or a few cloves fresh, chopped)
2 15 oz cans tomato sauce
1 6 oz can tomato paste

Brown meat and onion, drain. Add remaining ingredients, simmer 1 hour. Adjust
seasonings to taste - I usually add more herbs. To use fresh herbs triple the
amounts above. (As is it is a good pasta meat sauce - can be made ahead)

Filling:
16 oz cottage cheese or ricotta
2 eggs
1/2 teas. pepper
1 Tblsp dried parsley
1/2 cup parmesan, grated

Combine all ingredients.

To finish:
8 cooked lasagne noodles
1 pound mozzarella, sliced

Layer in a 13x9 inch pan: Noodles, meat sauce, cheese mixture, mozzarella,
repeat.
Bake at 375 Farenheit for 30 minutes.
