Recipe: German Chocolate Bread (bread machine)

GERMAN CHOCOLATE BREAD

FOR A 1 POUND LOAF:
2/3 cup milk
1 egg
1 tbsp margarine or butter
1 1/3 cups bread flour
2/3 cup whole wheat flour
2 tbsp brown sugar
4 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp active dry yeast
1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/4 cup toasted coconut

FOR A 1 1/2 POUND LOAF:
1 cup milk
1 egg
2 tbsp margarine or butter
2 cups bread flour
1 cup whole wheat bread
3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp active dry yeast
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/3 cup chopped nuts
1/3 cup toasted coconut

Select loaf size. Add ingredients according to your machine manufacturer's directions. Use light setting, if available.
