Recipe(tried): Lady Ashburn Pickles

Preserving - Pickles, Relishes
This is for Nancy:

LADY ASHBURN PICKLES

6 large cucumbers
1/2 cup pickling salt
1 quart onions, chopped fine
1 pint white vinegar
2 cups sugar
3 TBSP flour
1 1./2 tsp dry mustard
1 TBSP turmeric
1 tsp mustard seed
1 tsp celery seed

Peel cucumbers and remove seeds and slice, add onions, add salt and leave overnight. Drain next day. Add vinegar and dry ingredients. Cook for one hour and bottle. Put lids on jars after cooling. Store in refrigerator.
