Recipe(tried): Wild Rice Soup - Soup's on - - Come & Get it!

Soups
Tonight for dinner I will be having one of my favorite soups:

Wild Rice Soup

10 slices bacon, fried, do not drain
1 cup wild rice cooked according to directions
1 cup each: diced carrots, chopped onion, diced celery,
1 cup diced potatoes
1 10 1/2 ounce cream of celery soup
1 10 1/2 ounce cream of chicken soup
1 quart milk
1 cup velveeta cheese, cubed
1 cup American cheese, cubed

Cover veggies with enough water to cover them & simmer until soft. Add to the cooked veggies:
cream of celery & cream of chicken soups, 1 quart milk, bacon, rice.
Heat thoroughly & add 1 cup velveeta cheese, cubed &
1 cup american cheese, cubed
Heat until the cheese melts

I will serve this with a tossed salad, & have fresh fruit for dessert.
