I'm sure if you search this site you can find many variations of this salad, or just invent your own. You must make this salad ahead to get the flavors to blend. The quantities would be very flexible and you could make it prettier with mmarisch. cherries, etc. for your party. Also, you might need to stir it (fluff it up) a bit before serving so consider that in your plan, i.e. maybe stir it in the storage vessel, then pour it into the serving dish.
1 cup pineapple chunks

1 cup coconut
1 cup sour cream (lite works great)
