Recipe(tried): A typical Chinese Singaporean Dinner for Two - Chicken Vegetable Soup, Stir-fried Mixed Vegetables, Steamed Fish with Ginger

Menus
This is what I usually cook for dinner. It's fast and low fat.

Menu:
Plain rice
Chicken Vege Soup
Stir-fried mixed vege
Steamed fish with ginger

Chicken Vegetable Soup
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 small chicken (cleaned and joint, skin removed)
1 carrot (cut into chunks)
1 potato (Cut into chunks)
1 large onion (Quartered)
1 tsp of peppercorn (optional)
Put all together in a pot and boil until chicken is soft. Add a little salt to taste.
Stir-fried Mixed Vegetables
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

broccoli (amount of vege depends on your preferance)
carrot
cauliflower
Tinned button mushrooms
shitake mushrooms
1 clove garlic
1 onion (diced)

Fry garlic in a tsp oil until fragrant. Add in everything and stir-fry until you get the desired doneness. Season with a mixture of 1 Tbsp oyster sauce, 1/2 tsp sugar, 1/3 cup water. Serve hot.

Steamed Fish with Ginger
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1 white fish (I use pomfret)
3 slices of ginger (cut into strips)
2 shitake mushroom (cut into strips)
1 red chilly (same)Place cleaned fish in a heatproof dish. Scatter ginger, mushroom and chilly strips all over the fish. Drizzle a little soya sauce over the fish. STeam until done. Serve hot with a sprig of parsley.
Have fun!
