SKILLET GARLIC TOAST
"Make crisp garlic toast without turning on the oven or broiler! A nonstick skillet with an even surface toasts the bread best."
6 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
6 slices French bread, cut 3/4-inch thick
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
In small bowl, combine butter and garlic powder; mix well. Spread evenly on both sides of bread slices.
Heat skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Place bread slices in skillet; toast 1 to 2 minutes, turning when first side is lightly browned. Remove from pan; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
