Recipe(tried): Almond Chicken with Golden Syrup Sauce

This is an easy dish that everyone loves in my family. i recreated it after tried a similar dish in a hotel a while back. have a go!

Almond Chicken with Golden Syrup Sauce

2 chicken breast, cubed into bite size
then marinate them in the following until ready (at least 1 hour is recommended)
some light soy sauce to taste
dash of white pepper
about 2 t. sugar
about 2 t. chinese cookign wine
1 egg white
about 1 1/2 T. corn satrch

you need about 2 ounce of blanched amond flake (not to be add in the marinade)

Make a sauce in a small bowl with:
about 1 1/2 T. Lycos Golden Syrup
about 3 T. water
some soy sauce to tasteJust before dee-frying, add the almond flakes into the chicken cubes. stir to mix well and to coat the flakes on the chicken cubes.
deep fry the chicken cubes in med. heat by using a fork, carefully place cubes together with the almond flakes in the oil. wait until the sides are browned, turn over the cubes only once.
dish out to a serving plate.

to make the sauce, add a bit of cooking oil, using low heat, to cook the prepared syrup sauce until lightly caramelized. pour the syrup on the chicken. ready to serve!
