ALPINE VILLAGE CREAMY ITALIAN SALAD DRESSING

2 cups mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
1 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup red wine
2 tbsp. onions, very finely minced
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. dried dill weed
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 tsp. dried sweet basil
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 dash hot pepper sauce
1 dash worchestershire sauce

Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk in a large bowl and mix with a wire whisk.

Add remaining ingredients and refrigerate a few hours before serving.

Serve over your favorite green salad, or use as a dip for vegetables.

VARIATION:
To use as a dip for chips, add additional dill weed.

Makes about 4 1/2 cups, about 12 servings
