Recipe(tried): Chocolate Chewy Cookies (like American Cookie Company)
Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, BarsI have been looking for the Chocolate Chewy Supreme that American Cookie Company makes. I noticed that a lot of other's were looking for it as well. This is the closest thing to this cookie that I have found from Paula Deen.
Note: These cookies are best eaten within 24 hours.
CHOCOLATE CHEWY COOKIES
2 cups confectioner's sugar, sifted
1/3 cup all purpose flour, sifted
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 egg whites
1 cup choped pecans, toasted
Preheat the oven to 350 degrrees F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Stir together the confectioner's sugar, flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Add the egg whites one at a time. Beat well, then stir in the pecans. The batter will be very thin. Drop bu tablespponfuls on the the prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, intil the cookies have begun to brown on the bottom and appear "set". Allow to sit for about 2 minutes undisturbed, then remove the cookies to wire racks to cool completely. Store in airtight containers.
Makes 18 big cookies
I have also used mini M&M's in these.
Note: These cookies are best eaten within 24 hours.
