Also there was one posted by J-min of Maine that was posted on TKL a while back that sounds yummy. But here are my two. The first one was my Mothers.
APPLE CRUMB PIE
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell
4 or 5 tart apples or two cans of pie sliced apples
1/2 Cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
Mix the apples, sugar and cinnamon and pour into pie shell
Mix together with two table knives or pastry blender until crumbly:
3/4 Cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teas. cinnamon
1/3 cup butter or margarine
Sprinkle on top of pie. Bake in 450 degree oven for 10 minutes and then reduce heat to 350 and bake about 30 minutes more until apples are tender
CRUNCH TOP APPLE PIE
4 to 6 medium tart apples peeled and sliced
1 unbaked 9 in pie shell
2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup flour
1/3 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 teas cinnamon
1/3 cup butter
Arrange apples evenly in pie shell. Combine rest of the ingredients, cutting up butter and spread evenly over apples. The butter may also be melted and poured evenly over pie before baking. Bake 350 degrees for one hour.
