This is not from Stoffers, but from a wonderful place in Pittsburgh, Pa.
It sounds the same as you described. Hope you like it.
Armstrong's Turkey Devonshire
2 slices of sourdough bread,toasted
2 slices tomato
1/4 lb. thin sliced deli turkey
1 c. Armstrong's cheese sauce ( can also use Ragu cheese sauce)
dash of paprika
Place toasted bread slices on plate you can put in oven. Place meat
then tomato. Pour cheese sauce all over and then sprinkle paprika. Place in a 350 degree oven for 5-8 minutes.
Armstrongs Cheese Sauce
2 T. butter
2 T. flour
1 1/4 c. milk (heated)
pinch salt
1/2 c. cheddar cheese
Melt butter in pan, stir in flour and cook until it bubbles. Add hot milk and stir, sauce will thicken. Bring to a boil and add cheese and salt.
