Recipe: Australian Honey Bars (with raisins and walnuts)

AUSTRALIAN HONEY BARS

3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup honey
3 eggs
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup dried raisins
3/4 cup minced walnuts

Beat butter and honey together. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour and baking soda. Stir in raisins and walnuts.
Pour in a 9x9-inch greased baking pan.

Bake at 325 degrees F for 30 minutes until dough is firm. Set pan on rack to cool.

Before serving, sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.

Makes 36 squares
