BAKED BEAN MEDLEY
1 pound ground beef
2 large onions, chopped (2 cups)
2 cans (31 ounces each) pork and beans
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can red beans, rinsed and drained
1 (15 ounce) can lima beans, rinsed and drained
12 ounces sliced bacon, chopped, cooked, and drained
1 1/2 cups bottled barbecue sauce
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons vinegar
Cook ground beef and onions in an oven-going Dutch oven until beef is brown and onions are tender; drain fat.
Drain one can pork and beans; discard liquid. Stir in drained pork and beans, the undrained pork and beans, kidney beans, red beans, lima beans, bacon, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Cover; bake in 350 degree F oven about 1 hour or until heated through.
Makes 24 servings
