Recipe: Baked Grits with Cheese and Garlic

Side Dishes - Rice, Grains
BAKED GRITS WITH CHEESE AND GARLIC

1 cup quick cooking grits
2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 heaping tsp minced garlic
4 Tbsp butter, melted
1/2 cup chopped green onions, including green parts
2 eggs slightly beaten
3/4 cups milk

Cook the grits according to the package directions. Stir in the cheese, garlic, butter and chopped onions.

Pour the mixture into a buttered 2-quart casserole dish and allow to cool (I never do).

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Mix the eggs and milk and pour over the grits (I mix everything together).
