Recipe: Cajun Dirty Rice (crock pot)

Side Dishes - Rice, Grains
CAJUN DIRTY RICE

1 pound lean ground beef
5 cups beef broth
1 1/2 cups chopped green onions
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cups chopped celery
1 medium green pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup fresh minced parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 cup uncooked rice

Combine all ingredients in Slow Cooker except rice.

Cover and cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours.

Stir in rice. Cover and cook on HIGH for an additional hour, stirring twice.

Yield: 8-10 servings
