BARBECUED MEATBALLS
3 pounds ground beef
2 cups oatmeal, uncooked
1 cup evaporated milk
2 eggs
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon onion powder or 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Barbecue Sauce (recipe follows)
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and blend well. Form hamburger mixture into balls. Put in a 9x13-inch pan and an 8x8-inch pan. Pour barbecue sauce over them.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour.
BARBECUE SAUCE
2 cups ketchup
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 tablespoons liquid smoke (optional)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Sauce may be refrigerated several weeks.
Makes 30 medium meatballs
