Recipe: Blender Cream of Corn Soup (using onion and bread, 1960's)

BLENDER CREAM OF CORN SOUP

1 1/2 cups cooked whole-kernel corn
2 cups milk
1 cup light cream
1 small onion, sliced
1 1/2 slices bread, crust trimmed and torn
3/4 teaspoon salt
Dash of white pepper
1 teaspoon steak sauce
1/4 teaspoon powdered marjoram

Put com, milk, cream, onion and bread in container of electric blender. Whirl on high speed 20 seconds.

Pour corn mixture into a saucepan; add remaining ingredients and heat well.

Makes about 4 1/2 cups
