Recipe(tried): Blueberry Lime Jam

Probably too late for this year, but this is my family's favorite jam. I make several batches every year. It's from the Ball Blue Book.

Blueberry Lime Jam

4 1/2 cups blueberries
1 pkg. pectin
1/3 cup lime juice
1 Tbsp. grated lime peel (optional -- good if you have it, but fine if you don't)
5 cups sugar

Crush berries one layer at a time. Combine berries and pectin in large saucepot. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Add sugar all at once, stirring until dissolved. Add juice and peel. Return to a rolling boil. Boil hard one minute, stirring constantly. Ladle hot jam into hot jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace. Process 15 min. in boiling water.

Yield 6-7 cups
