Recipe: Brunswick Stew (2)

Hi Johnny,

There are so many versions of this recipe! I hope one of these is what you're looking for:

Brunswick Stew
From: Cookbook USA

Grind together, or chop very fine and set aside:
2 cups barbecued pork
2 cups cooked chicken, white, and dark, boiled, boned, and cubed
Melt in Dutch oven:
2 tbsp. margarine
Braise in margarine:
1 cup chopped onion
Add to onions:
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes with juice, mashed
1 (5 oz.) can white or yellow whole kernel corn, drained
Simmer 5 minutes.
Add pork and chicken. Cover and simmer slowly 1 hour.
Add to mixture:
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Dash Tabasco sauce
Dash Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. barbecue sauce
Garlic salt to taste

Brunswick Stew
From: Cookbook USA

2 lbs. lean stew beef
1 lb. lean pork
4 qts. water
1 chicken, boiled, skinned and chopped
4 lg. potatoes, diced
1 can (15 oz.) whole kernel corn
1 can (15 oz.) lima beans
3 diced carrots
3 chopped onions (med.)
3 tomatoes
1/4 c. catsup
Salt and pepper to taste

Cook beef and pork in soup pot with 4 quarts water for 1 hour. Skim off fat. Add all other ingredients. Simmer 3 to 4 hours.
