Recipe: Uncle Elmer's Stew (using ground beef and cabbage, 1960's)

Main Dishes - Chilis, Stews
UNCLE ELMER'S STEW

1 lb. ground beef
1 small head cabbage, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes (2 cups)
Salt and pepper to taste

In heavy pot or skillet, saute ground beef.

Add cabbage, onion and green pepper. Pour tomatoes over top. Cover and let simmer 40 minutes.
