Recipe(tried): Candied Fruit

Misc.
Candied Fruit

2 cans (15 oz) or 3 cups drained fruit
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup corn syrup

Place any drained fruit into sauce pan usually 2 quart size. I prefer non stick or heavy gauge bottom.

Add all ingredients and stir lightly to conbine and melt sugar. Simmer about 1 or 1 & 1/2 hrs or until translucent.

Dont over cook. Watch and stir frequently. After about an hr check the fruit then turn off the heat. Place into shallow dish to cool. Place into the refrigerator until ready to use.

Note the denser the fruit the longer to candy. Pineapple would take 1 and 1/2 hr to candy. Cherries about 50 minutes.
