Recipe: Cantaloupe Jam (2)

Cantaloupe Jam

4 cups crushed or diced ripe cantaloupe
2 c. crushed pineapple
5 c. sugar (or 6 if you want it sweeter)
1 t. butter

Mix all ingredients in large pan. Rub rim of pan with butter (to keep from boiling over). Stir and bring to a boil. Boil until it's as thick as you like. Process or refrigerate.Peach-Cantaloupe Jam

6 peaches, peeled and cubed
1/2 cantaloupe, peeled and cubed
2 oranges, ground
Sugar

Combine fruits and measure the amount. Add an equal amount of sugar. Let stand overnight. Cook, stirring until fruit is clear and thick. Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal. 5 pints.
