Recipe: Carnation Cheese Sauce (Carnation Evaporated Milk can label, 1960's)

1 (12 ounce) can Carnation Evaporated Milk
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon horseradish
8 ounces grated process American cheese
Simmer undiluted evaporated milk, dry mustard and horseradish in saucepan over low heat to just below boiling (2 minutes).
Add cheese; heat and stir until melted.
Pour over cooked asparagus, broccoli or green beans.
