Recipe: Vintage Recipe Clippings - Faith's Collection

Recipe Collections
Hello Everyone!

This fantastic 6 lb box of recipe clippings from the 50's and 60's that I purchased on E-Bay just arrived. It came from California by Pony Express so I've been waiting almost a month for it! I'm thrilled with the contents. It's probably no surprise to most that in addition to cookbooks I collect recipe clippings, vintage cookbooklets, and old personal recipe collections. I'll be posting more about my collection and how I keep it sorted/organized along with photos soon.

So, my fun project this week is to scan and post any recipe treasures that I find in this collection. I'll try to post them into the most appropriate board/forum topic so the best way to view the latest additions each time you come in is to use the 'List New Posts' button.

I hope you enjoy the recipes! I'd love to hear any other booklet, estate and clipping collectors among us.

Update - I've been browsing through the recipes (I think you're really going to enjoy some of these, I'll try to add the retro photos too) and I found the collector's name. It was on an envelope that someone had mailed her back in 1955! Her name is Faith and she lives/lived in Long Beach, CA. I always have mixed feelings when I find out who a collection belongs to. I'm happy to have it "identified" but it makes me sad because usually an estate find means the person has moved on in one way or another. I hope they would be happy to know that all their years of hard work, lovingly clipping and collecting recipes haven't been totally lost or destroyed. To be continued...
