Recipe(tried): Carrot Soup

1 bunch green onions chopped
1 bag shredded carrots
1/2 t celery seed
1 stick butter
2 cans chicken broth
1 t salt
cooked rice
Saute onions, carrots and celery seed in butter until carrots are softened. Pour in both cans of broth,two cans of water and salt. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer about 15 minutes.
In bowl, place about 1/2 cup cooked rice. Spoon soup mixture over the rice.
Can also use pasta in place of the rice.
