plz remind your daughter that cans of soup are nice to buy on sale and keep on hand .... ESP for those right before payday meals....
here are some IDEAS for use as meals ...

tomato soup undiluted with burger is GREAT over potatoes

cooked Rice, burger/chicken/leftover meat layered with cheese with a 'cream of' soup poured over the top is a great cassarole, you may dilute the soup with milk or water as needed

When anyone offers free produce like during tomato or Zuccini season gratfull take and stir fry with burger & pkg. of lipton onion soup mix, add other fresh or frozen veges as able ...

Buy whole chickens on sale (59 cents lb!) sometimes you can buy up to 10 lbs. boil debone and package in 1 cup baggies freeze to have on hand during "those" lean times :) can be mixed with anything for a meal

Cheap refrig biscuits make good bread alternitive for buns on hot dogs ....

BREAD PUDDING! no need to spend lots on desserts if you keep crusts or ends or the last pcs you can't use up of bread in a bag in frezzer you will alwasy have the doo's for bread pudding or breakfast cassarole.

don't forget aobut pancakes! family may see as treat ... but they are so inexpensive to make .... and what a meal for dinner!

I didn't ever buy ceriel. I made breaklfast cheaper, eggs used to be cheap, I also find that bulk food stores carry "farina" the stuff used for "cream of wheat" they also have oats for MUCH less than pkg. deals.

just cause it is in a can does not mean you need the whole can for the meal ... i have made plenty with 1/2 can tuna ....

keep canned milk on hand for those times buy at thanksgiving time on sale and keep. May not TASTE so good but in a recipe or a pinch she'll be glad ...
