Recipe: Cherry Pecan Bread (using biscuit mix and cherry pie filling)

CHERRY PECAN BREAD

3 cups biscuit mix
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 (20 oz) can cherry pie filling
1/3 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup margarine, melted
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine biscuit mix, sugar and nutmeg. Stir in pie filling, milk, egg, margarine and vanilla. Mix well; fold in pecans. Pour into greased 9x5 inch loaf pan.

Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cool in pan.

If you want more cherry taste, frost with cream cheese mixed with cherry marmalade.
