Recipe(tried): Chicken in A Jug (baked in a bean pot)

Main Dishes - Chicken, Poultry
Disjoint chicken (or use chicken leg quarters), season with salt. Rub chicken parts with olive oil and a little butter. Season with freshly ground pepper and any herbs to your liking.

Put quartered potatoes (amount up to your family size) in bottom of brown jug bean pot, then place chicken parts on top. Stick garlic cloves around chicken and potatoes, as many as you like. Place a piece of foil over top of jug and place top over foil. DO NOT ADD WATER.

Bake in 325 degree F oven for 3 hours. DON'T PEEK!! Be sure to have some good crusty bread available to dunk in the tasty drippings.
