Recipe: Chicken Mull (using saltine crackers)

Soups
CHICKEN MULL

1 broiler chicken, cut into pieces (or 1 pkg. of cut up pieces)
2 cups milk
3 tbsp. butter
1 (1 lb.) box saltine crackers
Salt and pepper (to taste)

Put chicken in a large soup pot and cover with water. Cook until well done. Remove chicken from broth. Strain broth back into pot. Remove chicken from bones, discarding skin and bones.

Return chicken to broth in pan. Add milk and butter; heat to boiling.

Coarsely crumble crackers into mixture as it boils, turning heat down. Stir mixture while adding more crackers to get the thickness desired. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve warm.
