Recipe: Coffee and Pepper Crusted Steaks

COFFEE AND PEPPER CRUSTED STEAKS

1 tablespoon whole coffee beans
1 tablespoon whole black peppercorns
4 (about 7 ounces) strip loin steaks, about 3/4 inch thick
Salt

Coarsely grind coffee beans and peppercorns in coffee grinder.

Press an equal portion (about 3/4 teaspoon) of the mixture evenly on each side of steaks.

Place steaks on greased barbecue grill over medium-high heat and cook about 8 minutes or until desired doneness, turning once.

Remove steaks from the grill. Season both sides with salt. Let steaks stand for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
