Recipe: Chocolate and Cherry Loaf (bread machine)

Breads - Bread Machine
CHOCOLATE AND CHERRY LOAF

4 ounces dried cherries
1/4 cup orange juice
1/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons half-and-half
2 eggs
3/4 teaspoon grated orange rind
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups bread flour
2 1/2 teaspoons yeast
3/4 cup chopped semisweet chocolate

Soak dried cherries in 1/4 cup orange juice overnight.

Place all the ingredients except cherry mixture and chocolate in the bread machine.

Program for basic white bread and press start.

After the machine has run 33 minutes (or at the beep for additions), add the cherries with any remaining liquid and the chocolate.
