Recipe(tried): chocolate sauce

Misc.

Here is a chocolate sauce recipe that I have used succesfully many times. Although the recipe calls for regular chocolate, I would think that you could substitute white chocolate.

Chocolate Sauce (yield 2qt)

1 qt water
4 lb sugar
12 oz white corn syrup
1 lb chocolate (melted)(I use chocolate chips for easier melting)
4 oz butter

Combine the water, sugar and syrup and bring to a boil. Make sure all of the sugar is dissolved. After mixture comes to a boil, boil for one minute and remove from heat. Let cool for one to two minutes. Melt chocolate and butter together over low heat stirring until smooth. Very slowly stir the hot syrupo mixture into the chocolate. Place over moderate heat and bring to a boil. Boil for four minutes. Remove from heat and cool.
