CHOCOLATE SNOW BALLS
Makes 4 to 5 dozen
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 cup plus 3 tbsp. margarine, softened
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour
2 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts
Mix powdered sugar and vanilla. Press through sieve. Set aside to dry.
Cream margarine; add milk and vanilla.
Sift flour, cocoa, and powdered sugar together. Add to creamed mixture; add walnuts. Chill dough.
TO SHAPE AND BAKE:
Form dough into small balls. Place 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Bake in 325 degree oven for 20 minutes.
Roll in vanilla sugar when cooled.
MOCHA NUT BUTTERBALLS
Makes 6 dozen
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. instant coffee granules
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa
1 2/3 cups unsifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups finely chopped walnuts or pecans
Powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly grease baking sheets.
In large bowl of electric mixer, cream butter with sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Add instant coffee, cocoa, flour and salt. Blend well. Stir in nuts.
Shape into 1-inch balls and place 1 1/2 inches apart on prepared baking sheet.
Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.
When cookies are cooled, roll in powdered sugar. Store in airtight container.

These don't have the same name as the cookie you're looking for but I'm hoping they're similar.
