Recipe(tried): Raspberry Chews - Yeah==Found Recipe--here it is

Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
RASPBERRY CHEWS

CRUST:
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cup rolled oats
1 cup coconut
1 cup chopped almonds
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup softened butter
2 tbsp water.

FILLING:
2 pkg (10 oz. each) frozen red raspberries in light syrup, thawed
2 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
dash lemon juice.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine all crust ingredients and mix well. I use the food processor and add the almonds last. Press half of mixture in ungreased 13x9-inch baking pan.

Combine raspberries and cornstarch. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil gently 2 min or until thickened. Cool slightly; stir in lemon juice. Pour raspberries over crust, sprinkle with remaining crust.

Bake 350 for 35-40 minutes or until light brown.

I've also made this with commercial-grade raspberry filling--bit sweeter but less "fresh fruit" taste."

Hope others will like it, too....(recipe comes from an old collection of home recipes from a Japanese church)
