Recipe(tried): Christmas Nougat Cookies - Variation (like Archway)

Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
I was looking for the archway cashew cookies and found your recipes! I'm making Christmas Cookies and couldn't find any of the archway Holiday ones near by.

I have to tell you I made the Christmas Nougat Cookies - the one with the vegetable shortening (I used Crisco)
BUT
I also added:
almond flavoring
butter flavoring

I used Bread Flour instead of regular flour

Then also put 1/2 of a family size package of dry sugar cookie mix! (not sure how many cups it was )

I used coarsely crushed cashew nuts (1 cup)

I used a pastry bag to pipe out round mounds of the dough, about the same size as a regular archway one.

baked for the time stated (8 minutes)

OMG!! these were IT! just like I remember them.
