Recipe: Cinnamon Sauce

CINNAMON SAUCE

1 cup packed dark brown sugar
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 cup boiling water
2 tbsp butter or margarine
2 tsp vanilla extract

In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon.

Gradually blend in 2 cups BOILING water. Cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.

Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.

Serve over ice cream, baked bananas, pineapples, and plain cakes.

Makes 2 1/2 cups of sauce
