Recipe: Cottage Wheat Bread (using cottage cheese, bread machine)

COTTAGE WHEAT BREAD

"Cream-style cottage cheese makes this whole wheat bread moist and slightly tangy."

1/2 cup water
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup cream-style cottage cheese*
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups bread flour
1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons Fleischmann's Bread Machine Yeast

Add ingredients to bread machine pan in the order suggested by manufacturer.

Select basic/whole wheat cycle; light/normal color setting.

*Brands of cottage cheese vary in moisture content. If dough is too dry/stiff or too soft/slack, adjust dough consistency.

HOW TO ADJUST DOUGH CONSISTENCY:
After mixing for a few minutes, the ingredients should turn into a smooth ball around the kneading blade. If the dough appears too stiff, add more liquid in 1 teaspoon increments or if dough is too soft, add more flour in 1 teaspoon increments, until the proper consistency is reached. Do not add more than 3 to 4 teaspoons liquid or flour. The machine cannot compensate for size variations and may not bake the larger amount of dough thoroughly.

Makes one (1 1/2 pound) Loaf
