Recipe: Crispy Pecan Baked Chicken Drumsticks

CRISPY PECAN BAKED CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS

1/2 cup plain dried bread crumbs
1/2 cup very finely chopped pecans
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon milk
8 chicken drumsticks
3 tablespoons melted butter

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet.

In a shallow dish, combine the bread crumbs, pecans, salt, pepper, and nutmeg, mixing well.

In another shallow bowl, beat the egg with the milk until frothy.

Dip the drumsticks into the egg mixture, and then roll them into the pecan mixture. Arrange the coated drumsticks on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with the melted butter.

Bake in the preheated oven 25 to 30 minutes or until done. Serve immediately.

Makes 4 servings
