Recipe: Country Fried Steak

Main Dishes - Pasta, Sauces

I bought their cookbook the last time we ate at the Machine Shed. This is from their cookbook. I haven't tried this recipe, but I make their Apple Glazed Suffed Pork Chops all the time.

Country Fried Steak

6 cube steaks
4 eggs, beaten
2 cups flour, mixed with 2 teaspoons paprika

Dip steaks in eggs, then flour/paprika mixture. Repeat with eggs again. Put into skillet and brown very slowly on both sides. When they are done, pour off some of he oil they were fried in, and make milk gravy out of the drippings. Serve with mashed potatoes and a vegetable. 6 servings.
