Recipe: Dad's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Here is another.

Dad's Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/4 cups flour
2 cups oats
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup Heath Brickle Bits
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup butter, melted
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Combine flour, sugars, salt, baking soda, margarine, eggs, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Stir in oats, chocolate chips, Heath bits and nuts. Put mixture in refrigerator for 1/2 hour. Drop round tablespoonfuls 2-inches apart onto cookie sheets. Bake at 350 F for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
Yield: 3 dozen
