Hi Sherrill
I had an old Dromedary Date box, unfortunately, it did not have the recipe you requested. Also, tried to find a website for Dromedary Dates (could not).
However, I did find two (2) very similar Date Bar recipes and am posting the older of the two.
--------------------------------------------------
DATE AND NUT BARS - Makes about 3 dozen - 2-inch
--------------------------------------------------
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon (each) ground cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
4 eggs
2 cups (packed) light brown sugar
2 cups finely chopped pitted dates
2 cups chopped toasted skinned hazelnuts, walnuts or pecans, optional
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt into small bowl, stir in cinnamon, nutmeg and giner. Beat butter, eggs and sugar in medium bowl until light and fluffy.
Stir flour mixture, dates and nuts into egg mixture. Spread batter in greased and floured 15-1/2 x 11 x 1-inch jelly roll pan.
Bake until wooden pick inserted in center is withdrawn clean, 35 to 40 minutes. Cool in pan on wire rack to room temperature. Cut into 2-inch squares.
